Quick, Easy For projects, cards and other decorations these tassels go together in minutes!Materials needed: -3" X 4" piece of thin
chipboard (like a cereal box) One
skein will make two tassels. Start by holding the loose end of the floss against
the cardboard with your thumb and wrapping the floss around the 3" end of
the cardboard twenty one (21) times. Snip the floss strand at the bottom of the
loops but do not cut all the loops just yet!. Thread an eighteen inch piece of
floss thru the crewel needle and pass it between the floss and the cardboard
working the floss up to the edge of the cardboard. Snip off a six inch piece and
tie the ends
together. Now, holding the top part of the tassel together, ease the wrapped
floss off the cardboard. Holding the loose end of the floss and the tassel in
one hand, about 3/4" down from the top, wrap the tassel ten to twelve times
and run the floss-threaded needle back down thru the wrapped section, pulling
the floss snug. Cut the bottom loops and trim the bottom end of the tassel,
clipping any loose ends.
