Kid-Pleasin'
Party Hat

Entertain the kids by
having them make
their own party hat!

Materials needed:

-Pointy Purse template from Draggin= Ink
-one sheet cardstock, 8
2" X 11"
-8" to 10" long, 1/4" wide elastic
-scissors, patterned or straight
-pencil
-tape
-hole punch

Optional:
-Rubber stamps, glitter, glue
-Crayons, fake jewels, ribbon,
-crepe paper, stickers, etc.

Trace and cut the Pointy Purse template. While flat, decorate as desired with glitter, pens, crayons, rubber stamps, etc. If you have pattern scissors, you can use them to add an interesting edge to the bottom.

Glue lengths of ribbon or tinsel to the top center if desired.

Form the hat into a cone and tape together. Punch holes on either side of the hat for the elastic.

Make a small knot and run the elastic thru the hat with the knot on the inside. On the other side of the hat, pull the elastic thru and make another knot. Or, to save time, simply staple the elastic to the hat.

If the kids feel like it, they can always make another as a little purse to carry home party favors!
