A Studley Box A
great small box with a Atechno@
look for trinkets, small gifts and candies. Materials needed :- "Box" template from Draggin' Ink J-Two pieces heavy cardstock (10 pt or higher) -9-15 brass fasteners -Scissors -pencil -ruler Optional if fusing paper: -1 sheet crushed tissue paper, solid color -plastic wrap -iron See our Paperfusing Instructions for directions on how to make delicate papers useable. If using a piece of fused paper for the top, fuse the paper before marking. Make box top and lid according to directions. Unfold the top and on the inside mark a pattern that you would like to have showing on the outside. With the end of the scissors or the pencil tip, poke a small hole through to the other side, just enough to be a starter hole for the legs of the brass fasteners. Turn piece over and insert the brass fasteners in the pattern of your choice. Flatten the legs out on the underside. If desired, tape down the legs to keep them as flat as possible.
Cool technique! For an extra bit of color, try this...heat up the head of the brass fastener with a heat gun, dip in colored embossing powder and heat again. Wow! Make sure you clip the brass fastener into the Original Draggin' Ink Sponging Tool, a clothespin or some other tool to prevent burnt fingers.
