THE CLAM SHELL KNOT This is a basic knot. Don’t forget to condition the strands first by running them thru your fingers 3-4 times. 1) Find the center of the strand and make a loop. Pinch the loop with the
thumb and index finger of your left hand. Add strands in an outward direction (on top of the last), ONE BY ONE. Don’t try to add them all at once. As you add them, the strands will appear to get shorter. This is because the strands are going around an enlarging knot. As the strands get added your knot will stabilize and get much easier to work with. And as always... Adjust, adjust, adjust! |
