Fast and Funny Mizuhiki Spider
Used on a card, as a pin or as party favors, this one’s a snap!
Items needed:
1 full Strand (36") black Mizuhiki
scissors
(optional)
two googly eyes, faux spider web, glue
Cut the strand into four even pieces of 9". Tie an overhand knot in the
center and shrink it down as far as it will go.
Repeat! Don’t be put off if the strands are irregular or not all the same
length. This is OK!
Press and bend the strands where they meet the body so the strands are all
pointing in the same direction (up or down),
then kink and bend about in the center of the strands for "knees".
For 2-D spiders leave them flat. For 3-D spiders spread out the legs and stand
them up!
OPTIONAL: Glue on googly eyes.
Kink the strands about 1/4" away from the ends for feet. They stay in your
hair! (Euwww!)
