Foamcore Card
Envelope

For those cool foamcore cards that won't seem to fit into any envelope-
here's the perfect thing!

Materials needed:

-Expandable envelope template from Draggin' Ink
-your own foamcore card
-one sheet cardstock or envelope-weight paper
-pencil or pen
-scoring tool such as the Dual Tool
-scissors
-cutting board or pad of paper as a good working surface

This one is designed for a 5 2" X 4 1/4" card and is a lot easier than you think. The trick is to have the foamcore card made first, then you literally wrap the envelope around the card.  Trace the template and place the foamcore card in the top half. Score all the way around the card and 1/4" out as well. Cut out and decorate if desired. Cut slot. Fold all flaps to center, bending them around the card. Place adhesive on side flaps. Fold bottom flap to meet side flaps and making as snug as possible. Press to side flaps, making sure adhesive adheres. Wrap top over card and insert into slot.

If sending thru the mail, this will probably need some special attention such as hand-canceling and possibly extra postage.
To make an oversized version of this envelope, see the instructions for the Oversized Envelope.
