A May Day An olde-tyme tradition Materials needed :-Pointy Purse template from Draggin= InkJ -1-2 sheets 8 2@ X 11" cardstock, in a pastel shade. -tacky glue or doublestick tape. -small plastic sack -cutting board -scissors -pencil -flowers Optional: -1 ft cording, thin rope or seambinding
Trace and cut the Pointy Purse. Do NOT score
the purse. Decorate if desired. Now, coil the cone until the top opening is
approximately 3" across. Affix with glue or tape. Tape an area about 1@
down on opposing sides. This serves to reinforce the area for the handle. Poke a
hole about 1/2" down. Now, using the material of your choice (paper,
cording, rope, seam binding, etc.), push the ends from the outside in and
secure. To make the handle: cut a piece of cardstock 11" L X 1" W.
Round the ends with scissors. Score 3"
from the long edges. At both ends at the point where the straight edge starts to
become rounded, make a cut 3"
towards the center. Lay a piece of doublestick tape down the length of the
handle, even onto the tabs and fold the two scored flaps to the center. Hang on someone=s
door knob with wishes for a happy Spring! |
